About the Flying Fish Design
The flying fish design is not the official crest or logo of Wills school but was designed as a gift to Wills Primary in 2008 by a parent, Constance Van Flandern, who incorporated elements of our local Bajan culture and of our educational goals and commitments.
In this image the official national symbol of the flying fish leaps from the blue waters of Barbados (pictured here also as pages from a book of knowledge) reaching for the stars. Each of the 5 stars represent a WPS core value: Honor, Responsibility, Optimism, Commitment, and Honesty & Respect (represented as a double star at he top).
The motto Ex Scientia Volat is the Latin translation of From Knowledge Wings
In giving the Wills students the gift of knowledge we hope to give them the wings to reach for any star their hearts desire.
